16.12.2025 | IT’S A WIN! - IDEFIX wins tender for De Niervaert, Klundert

Very happy to share that, together with MoederscheimMoonen Architects, IDEFIX has won the tender for the new 'De Niervaert' sports and cultural complex in Klundert. Commissioned by the Municipality of Moerdijk and Bouwbedrijf Vaessen BV, this project will bring sport, culture, and landscape together in one future-ready public space.

The landscape design is closely integrated with the architecture. It creates a welcoming entrance, outdoor terraces, sheltered bicycle parking, and various spaces to enjoy the area throughout the day. The design subtly references Klundert’s historic fortifications.

Native planting, water retention areas, and clear sightlines to surrounding sports fields make the landscape both legible and climate-adaptive. Biodiversity is central, with provisions for bats, swifts, house sparrows, and hedgehogs.

De Niervaert will be more than a building. It will be a green, inviting meeting place for the whole community, well rooted in its context and ready for the future.
