Alice van der Lande

Alice van der Lande is a designer with a background in art, product design and architecture. She is driven by a strong fascination with the relationship between landscape and spatial experience. She graduated in Product Design from the Willem de Kooning Academy and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture.

Through her work experience, she has developed a strong sensitivity to how materials influence atmosphere and spatial perception. Before applying a material in a design, she aims to fully understand its behaviour, qualities, and impact within a spatial context.

Alice is particularly inspired by projects that make ecological processes visible and tangible, strengthening people’s connection to the landscapes they inhabit. Throughout her studies and professional experience, she has expanded her understanding of the interconnections between ecological processes, heritage and human use.
